Douglas learned a little bit about everything that goes into a radio production by interning with The Ryan and Caroline Show - a two-hour syndicated radio show. He catalogued all of the components of each episode. After making sure that all of the talk sets and celebrity interviews were in order, Douglas would choose the best material for a two minute demo to promote the show to radio stations. Douglas sat in on the taping of every show and “saw what it took to be a radio personality.” He additionally learned the proper way to copy music and talk sets for radio airing. On the post-production side, he edited tracks and e-mailed them to Clear Channel’s center in Cincinnati. Douglas had a tremendous experience in a challenging internship. “The tasks I were given were not easy, but since I knew when to ask for help and when to figure things out for myself I was able to get all the work done and be applauded for my efforts.”
