Responsibilities:
Writes short news articles, obituaries, member recognitions, and compiles letters to the editor as well as Marketplace of Ideas responses. Conducts computer-aided research. Processes articles for online posting in the Content Management System. Assists with print production by proofreading pages and editing articles. Handles administrative tasks such as researching and preparing department documents.

Requirements:
Must be pursuing a journalism degree. Familiarity with news writing or feature writing or must have taken classes in these subjects. Some writing experience preferred such as writing for a school newspaper or other publication. Must be familiar with Word. Experience with MacIntosh computers and InCopy or Quark editing system helpful. Writing samples required.
