Multimedia in Capital - start January

The Chronicle of Philanthropy is seeking two (2) full time editorial interns. Both internships offer a $500 weekly stipend.

Both internships will last for five (5) months, beginning in early January 2010. The interns will work with a team of experienced online and print journalists who cover the nonprofit world.
Both interns should be able to handle diverse tasks such as creating multimedia presentations, recording and editing audio and video, and general Web production.


This full-time multimedia editorial intern must have experience in multimedia technologies such as Flash, Photoshop, HTML, and XML in order to develop and produce content for our soon-to-be-relaunched Web site. An understanding of how to integrate databases into multimedia presentations, knowledge of Flash AS2 and AS3 scripting and a familiarity with JavaScript frameworks and libraries are all highly desirable.


The full-time video/audio intern must have experience with creating and producing video and audio for the Web. The intern will also be responsible for some daily Web production for the Chronicle's soon-to-be-relaunched Web site.

Both interns must be self-motivated, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, have the ability to work in a collaborative deadline-driven environment, and pay close attention to detail.
