Arielle Zelin, an Integrated Marketing Communications major, spent the summer of 2012 interning with Peacock Productions, a division of NBCUniversal Television Group. Peacock produces lifestyle and reality programs, documentaries, and topical specials for broadcast, cable, syndication and emerging platforms.

Arielle’s for-credit internship duties included going on shoots and assisting productions. She was also responsible for logging and transcribing video footage.

Arielle says she fully achieved her goals and truly had a great experience as an intern for this company. “Interning at NBC surpassed my expectations and I really was given tasks that were important”, she says. Arielle was even credited on some of the shows produced.

Arielle found NBC’s environment a great one to work in. She also felt encouraged to do her tasks by her colleagues. “Everyone is very friendly and eager to help you or assist you with anything,” she points. She recommends future interns and students to always ask questions and go into everything with a positive attitude. “Sometimes I was given tasks that I thought I would not be able to do to their expectations but with the help of the people who work there I was able to complete all of my tasks successfully,” she says.
