Progressive/Independent Media Internships

The Roy H. Park School of Communications is pleased to announce the Independent Media Internship Awards. These awards, funded by a generous benefactor, will provide $2,500 for each student who will work as a summer intern at one of the following Independent Media sites:

 

Center for Media and Democracy, Madison, WI

CommonDreams.org, Portland, ME

Crooks and Liars blog

Deep Dish TV, New York

Democracy Now!, New York City

FAIR (Fairness & Accuracy in Reporting), New York City

Free Speech TV, Denver, CO

Globalvision / MediaChannel.org, New York City

Qualifying students must be undergraduates with a Park School major, a minimum 3.25 GPA, and  a minimum of 45 credit hours earned  by time the internship begins.

The cash awards will be granted to students to be chosen by the Independent Media Internship Committee. The selected students must register for a summer internship of between 1.0 and 3.0 credits in order to receive the award.
