Student App Design Competition

Design an Innovative New App and Win $1000!

Work in teams over the course of 9 weeks to plan, design, and develop an app for smart phones, tablets, and/or desktop computers. Dynamic Web sites, mobile sites, and multimedia apps qualify too. Pitch your final app to a panel of judges and win cash prizes. This competition is open to all current Ithaca College students.

Have an idea, but don't have the skills to develop it? Want to develop an app but don't have an idea? Come to the kick-off meeting on February 8th and join a team to work with.

Kick-off Meeting

Join us on February 8th 2013 at 4PM in Park 220 for an overview of how the competition will work. Each participant will be given the opportunity to pitch an idea for an app. Students will then form groups around these ideas and the competition begins! Food and beverages will be provided.

Final Judging

Final judging will take place on Friday April 12th at 4PM. Teams will present their apps to a panel of judges that includes IC professors, local businessmen/women, and alumni. The top three places will be awarded:

First place: $1000

Second place: $500

Third place: $250
