This is a mandatory session. You will be receiving important information pertaining to housing, transportation, academics, internships, and living in Los Angeles.

PRE-REGISTRATION FOR SPRING 2010 LOS ANGELES CLASSES

You will be pre-registering for your Spring 2010 courses on the same day you would register if you were returning to campus. All students attending the Los Angeles Program are required to register for a minimum of 13 credits: a 6-credit internship, a 1-credit course ("Media Industries"), and two 3-credit courses.

The course listings can be found by clicking on the "Spring 2010 Courses" button on this page. Instructions for registration will be distributed at the orientation session.

INTERNSHIPS

Details pertaining to your internship search will be distributed at the orientation session, but if you wish to begin researching potential internship sites, you may go into our internship database, which you can access through our homepage.

More information can be found on internships by clicking on the "Internship information" button on this page. From there, you may click on the "Internship Database" button which will take you to a page with 2 buttons:

MAJOR MEDIA CONGLOMERATES The top button, labeled "CLICK HERE to apply to a major media conglomerate Internship" will take you a page where you can access the home pages of NBC/Universal, ABC/Disney, MTV Networks, FOX Network, and other media companies, where you can apply for an internship online. Be sure to wait until the pages are updated and you are applying for a Spring 2010 Internship.

ITHACA COLLEGE'S LA INTERNSHIP DATABASE The second button, labeled "CLICK HERE to proceed to the internship database" will take you to a second page, where you should click on "Internship Database." The Account Name and Password is the same word: user

Once you reach the database, the instructions for searching the database are clearly outlined on the right. If you have any problems accessing the database, please contact me by email (laprogram@ithaca.edu)
