Ithaca College's radio stations, WICB and VIC, ranked #4 in the Best College Radio Station category according to Princeton Review’s 2008 Best 366 Colleges. The rankings are "based on feedback from more than 120,000 students across the nation" and include 62 rankings in 8 different categories: academics, demographics, schools by type, social, parties, politics, quality of life and extracurricular.
WICB was also honored for its news reporting in October. Cody Holyoke '07 won “Best Newscast” at the National Student Production Awards, sponsored by College Broadcasters Inc. The station was also a finalist in the “Best Sports Play-By-Play” category for "Ithaca vs. St. John Fisher Basketball," produced by Dan Cassavaugh '08 and Pete Sachs '08.
