Ithaca College is ranked #1 for in the “Best College Radio Station” category according to The Princeton’s Review’s 2010 edition of “The Best 371 Colleges.”

WICB is a student-operated station that broadcasts on 91.7 FM from the Roy H. Park School of Communications. Its 4,100-watt signal can be heard from the Pennsylvania border to Lake Ontario, while the Internet carries the station around the world via streaming audio at wicb.org. This past year, WICB was also named the top college radio station in the country by mtvU, winning its prestigious Woodie Award.

The Princeton Review rankings are based on a survey of 122,000 students attending the colleges included in the book. The 80-question survey asks students to rate their schools on several topics and report on their campus experiences.

Ithaca College has been ranked in the top 5 of the “Best Radio Station” category for the past 5 years. This is the first time that WICB has been ranked #1, edging out schools such as Emerson College, St. Bonaventure University, DePauw University, and Stanford University.
