AWNY Career Conference

Every year, Park AdVenue sends a group of students to attend the Advertising Women in New York (AWNY) Career Conference held in New York, NY. The conference, which is open to both women and men, is meant to provide students with information to break into the advertising industry. Attendees get to meet industry professionals at the welcome meet-and-greet, listen to keynote speeches by top advertising professionals, and choose various workshops to attend. The conference is a great way to make contacts for potential jobs or internships, or for students to get a better understanding of the industry.

Creative Crunch Work

These are some of the top ads created during our bi-annual advertising competition, The Creative Crunch. During this event, teams of 2-5 students are responsible for creating an ad campaign containing 2 print ad and a 3rd execution of their choice within 2 hours.

FoodNet Meals-on-Wheels

During the Fall 2006 semester, AAF had the honor to work with FoodNet, Ithaca's local Meals-on-Wheels chapter. FoodNet contacted AAF to help them them accomplish two goals: to raise awareness of their services and to increase their volunteer pool.

Students worked closely with the non-profit organization to develop an integrated campaign placing ads on local TV stations, radio networks, billboards and Ithaca's TCAT bus system.
