Allison Kapner is the Director of Organizational Development at MGM Resorts International. In this role, Allison will support the alignment of talent acquisition and learning with MGM Resorts’ overall strategy for employee engagement, assist in the development and implementation of the Company’s succession planning process, and assist in setting organizational policies and developing new HR programs and services.
Allison joins us from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School where she was Associate Director of Employer Relations in Career Services. In this position, she was responsible for helping build and launch the first full-time MBA program at the recently endowed business school. Allison and her team built processes, budgets, and strategy to enhance the effectiveness of the Career Services department. She also wrote and facilitated professional development programming for master’s-level students, coached mid-level professionals and worked with employers for recruitment. Allison traveled extensively, including internationally, to meet with companies, alumni, and prospective students to build the school’s brand. While at Johns Hopkins, Allison also channeled her passion for leadership development to write and teach the Carey Emerging Leaders Program, a two-credit elective for business students.
Prior to joining Carey, Allison was an executive recruiter for a financial services recruitment firm in New York. She has also worked in the nonprofit, entertainment, insurance, corporate and academic sectors
