Here students are working on physical designs from scrap materials similar to what contestants do on the TV show,Junkyard Wars.
Designers hard at work (or maybe not!)
This one's for parents: CMD professors challenge us to think hard. We often look like the young man pictured here--philosophizing about the meaning of life, discussing the properties of systems, and deciding what we want to eat for lunch.
Contemplating how many systems scientists it takes to change a light bulb.
No, you can't change the laws of physics!
Cute wobbly wheels--but a hood ornament would improve the brand image.
Wheatgrass, Omega 3--does my professor really drink this stuff?
We take serious things seriously in this class! Seriously!
Olympic breathing exercises before the big race.
NASCAR pit crew experiencing a communication breakdown.
In systems thinking we learn to create elegant designs.
Won't even try to explain this--but they were having fun!
Houston, we seem to have a slight malfunction here.
Wouldn't you really rather be writing a paper?
The surgeon general and the dean have determined after conducting exhaustive research that the systems thinking course may cause you to expand your thinking! The instructor says no one got voted off the island; everyone learned a lot and had a blast!
