IMC Senior selected for AAF Most Promising Minority Student Program
The highly competitive Most Promising Minority Students program of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) has recognized E Yiwei Zhu, an Ithaca College IMC and Honors Program senior. Zhu was among the 50 students selected for the program from colleges and universities throughout the U.S.
The winners are invited to a three-day event in New York City in February to meet with some of the premier advertising agencies, media companies and advertisers in the world. The Most Promising Minority Students program not only honors the students, but also enhances their knowledge and understanding of the advertising field by offering networking, interviewing and immersion opportunities with industry professionals.
Program participants are selected based on a range of criteria, including academic standing; demonstrated interest in working in the advertising, marketing and media/communications industries; leadership potential; and other character indicators such as community and organizational service.
E Yiwei Zhu is currently the co-president of the American Marketing Association. She has recently interned at McCann, Viacom and splashlight as part of the ICNYC program.
A total of 23 Ithaca College students have been selected for the AAF Most Promising Minority Students program since 2004. For more information, visit www.aaf.org/mpms.
