Keynote Panel: Experts from The Twilight Zone
|Earl Hamner, Jr.|
Earl Hamner, Jr. has been a television writer and producer for more than 60 years. He wrote eight episodes of The Twilight Zone including The Hunt, A Piano in the House, You Drive, and Stopover in a Quiet Town. In 1971, he adapted his book The Homecoming as a CBS Christmas television special – which was the basis for his long-running series, The Waltons. The first year it received five Emmys and a nomination for Earl as writer.
Hamner also served as executive producer of the 1980’s hit series Falcon Crest and was a writer for the animated screen adaptation of E. B. White's Charlotte's Web.
Hamner still writes every day and is still involved in television, although he claims that on his visits to the networks they offer him a glass of warm milk and help him to his seat.
