Designs for Magic Flute (produced by Ithaca College) accepted for inclusion in the U. S. entry, "Mozart in America", for the 1991 Prague Quadrennial. One of 22 designers in the US honored to have designs accepted. The designs for Magic Flute were one of only three designs accepted into the juried International exhibit produced in an academic institution. The Magic Flute designs were the only accepted designs produced by an undergraduate institution. After being exhibited in Prague, the Gold Medal winning US entry, Mozart in America, was also presented at the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, the USITT Convention in Seattle, among other venues in the United States. |

Designs for The Miser (produced by Ithaca College) accepted into the United States Institute for Theatre Technology's (USITT's) national Juried Design Exposition, Art for the Stage, presented originally in Milwaukee at USITT's annual convention and subsequently in the exposition's tour of the United States which included the Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center. These were the only academically produced designs chosen for inclusion in the exhibit, all others chosen were produced by regional theatres. Supervised the two Ithaca College students' designs accepted for exhibition, which comprised two of the total seven undergraduate and graduate designs selected. |
