About SAB
The comedy chair is in charge of bringing...you guessed it, comedy! This year, Jake Goldberg and John Ungaro team up to bring the best of comedy to IC. Last semester, Jake brought Dan Cummings and Dan Levy while John brought members from Derrick Comedy and Leo Allen in the spring of last year. The two are joining forces to not only bring the best comedians, but also put on the best stand up competitions. Ithaca College students are the comedians in these competitions as they fight for the last laugh. Keep your eyes peeled for what these two have in store for you this semester!
The films chair brings big blockbuster hits to IC before they get released on dvd. And get this...tickets are only $3! This semester returning member, Jacqueline Eichorn, is teaming up with new member, Jackie Nedorezov, to bring students the movies they wanted to see in theaters but never did. Check our events calender to know what movies are coming and when! Movies are generally held in Textor 102 Thursday-Sunday.
The music chair is incharge of...wait you already know?...music! New member Aya Hoffman is currently looking for musical talent to bring to IC. Last semester the music chair brought DJ Tobacco as well as Cymbols Eats Guitars. The music chair doesn't only bring in talent, they find talent as well. Once or twice a semester, SAB music holds an Open Mic Night, in which anyone at IC can come perform their music while others can enjoy listening to people they didn't even know could play an instrument much less carry a tune.
Last but not least is the special events chair. They, of course, organize the events that don't involve bringing entertainment. You all know about the Xtreme Gingerbread House-Making Competition SAB holds every year? Well that's put on by the special events chair. New member Amanda Riggio will be working hard this semester to hold fun and exciting events for IC students.

Ok, so those are the SAB chairs that organize and host the events...but what about the behind the scenes guys. Like the people that make all the posters advertising the events, and who keeps SAB on track - making sure rooms are booked and money is good? and what about me? don't I get some recognition here too?
So the last of the executive board members are the Ad/Pr Chair, Finance, Executive-Director, and Webmaster.
The Ad/Pr chair advertises all our events. So when we have a comedy routine on Tuesday, a movie over the weekend, and an event the following Thursday, it's up to the Ad/Pr guys to design the posters, get the word out on facebook and intercom, and get as many people as they can to come. New members Jessie Yuhaniak and Ryanne Miller will be two very busy people and very important people in SAB. Let's not forget about our new chair this year! Yes, a new chair I say. Because of how busy the Ad/Pr chairs have been in the past, SAB has decided to add the Purchasing and Promotions chair to our team. Returning member Bailey Reagan will be taking over the responsibility and be in charge of...well, purchasing and promoting!
The finance chair is in charge of MONEY! We all know how important it is for organizations to have money. Returning member, Theodore Briscoe, keeps track of the money we've spent and lets everyone know how much money they have to put on an event. We all relyon T to keep us on track.
Our Executive Director, Matthew Rakow is in charge of us all...well besides Russell Martin, SAB's advisor, but Matt's the next best thing! He makes sure that all of us are on top of our game, because beleive it or not, sometimes we're all slackers and it's up to Matt to make sure we stay on track.
And now we come to the Webmaster, Ginny Van de Wall, I just update this here website with all the new and exciting things we have planned and hope that everyone comes out and has a good time.
