Ithaca College students have already submitted 509 applications to interview for job & internship opportunities at this January's Career & Internship Connection job fairs. Did you apply?
New employers have registered for the fairs, so even if you missed the original deadline, register now for the CIC fairs to find out which employers will be there, what new postings exist, and to receive e-mail updates about the fairs.
The morning is an open job fair, and the afternoon is dedicated to interviews. So if you don't get selected for an interview, or didn't submit your application in time, you should still attend the morning fair as employers may grant interviews to students that they meet there!
CIC Schedule:
Chicago - January 3rd
Washington, D.C. - January 4th
Boston - January 7th
New York City - January 9th
San Francisco - January 11th
Registration & application instructions:
Visit http://cic.erecruiting.com, click on "create account" link & enter token cic2008. Complete registration fields, search for job or internship opportunities, and apply to new postings by uploading your resume/cover letter to each desired posting. Companies will contact you directly if they wish to schedule an interview at the fair with you.
Tips to succeed at the fairs:
~Wear professional dress
~Bring copies of your resume, printed on resume paper
~Prepare questions to ask employers
~Remember that employers are at the fairs to talk with you, so network (ask questions!)
~Check the CIC website, even when you’re home on break, to see if there are new employers
~Contact IC Career Services with any questions that you have about the fair
