Get a first-hand glimpse into the professional world by visiting companies during winter break through "Road Trips to the Real World."
This series of FREE employer site visits, scheduled for January 5 - 13, may include panel discussions of employees and/or interns, site tours, or networking sessions. If you are searching for a job or internship, or just want to explore careers, make plans to attend a site visit!
Online registration begins December 2nd (Tuesday) at 10 am and ends on Friday, December 12th. Spots fill up VERY quickly for some of the more popular sites, so visit http://www.eace.org/committees/roadtrips.html to register early for the best selection.

Each of the Road Trips is planned by the employer and staffed by a member of the EACE Road Trips Committee. The programs are free for students; however, you must provide your own transportation to and from the site.
Once registered for a site, students will receive instructions to RSVP, prior to December 19th to confirm they plan to attend. As always, NO-SHOWS AND LATE CANCELLATIONS ARE STRONGLY DISCOURAGED as you want to leave a positive impression with the employer host.

Career Services, Alumni Relations, and the class of 2009 are excited to announce another year of Network Nights!
This series of events, designed especially for Ithaca College students, is a wonderful opportunity to discuss career issues and the current job market with IC alumni currently working in a variety of fields. Making connections for the future is valuable for students of all class years.

Applications are now available for the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Junior Fellows Program. Each year the endowment selects 8-10 graduating seniors to serve as research assistants in Washington, DC for one year (August 1, 2009 - July 31, 2010). Junior Fellows are paid, full-time positions with a salary of approximately $35,000 and a full benefits package. Projects for 2009-2010 include:
Democracy/Rule of Law, Middle East studies, Nonproliferation, South Asian Studies, Energy & Climate Change, Chinese Studies, Chinese Economics, Trade/Equity & Development, Russian/Eurasian Studies, Central Asian Studies, International Economics, US Role in the World & Communications.
Alumni who have not completed any graduate coursework & who graduated less than one year ago may also apply for the Fellowship.
Applications are due to the Office of Career Services by Monday, December 15 at 5:00pm. Ithaca College's Nominating Official & committee will select up to 2 candidates whose materials will then be submitted to the Carnegie Endowment for its selection process.
