Do you need to improve your interviewing skills? Could you use additional interviewing practice? If so, you should take part in Mock Interview Day.
Mock Interview Day provides you with the opportunity to have a practice interview with an actual employer from the community.
Interviews are available on the half hour on a first come first serve basis.

Representatives from over 60 organizations (local, regional, national, and international) will inform students about their full-time, part-time, internship and volunteer positions. For students who are exploring career fields, representatives will share general organization and industry information.
Career Services will be running a free shuttle to and from the event on the half hour, beginning at 12:00 noon from the IC flag pole. The last shuttle will leave Cornell at 3:30 p.m.

November's winner, Brittany Pierce won a professional portfolio and December's winner, Shawn Pinney won a bookstore gift certificate.
Any Ithaca College student is eligible to be part of the Career Services' Passport To Your Future program. To register, just stop by the Career Services office. Prizes are awarded on a monthly basis and a grand prize of a laptop computer will be drawn in April 2008.

Be an insider for a day!
Connect with local professionals and learn about a possible career path by participating in "Take an Ithacan to Work Day," a new job shadow program scheduled for March 19th. Any Ithaca College student may sign-up in Career Services by February 22nd. You'll be able to tell us your top 3 career fields of interest, then we'll match you with a local professional working in one of those fields. You'll receive information on your match during the required information session on March 6th at 12:10pm in the Taughannock Falls Meeting Room (Campus Center 3rd Floor).
If you are interested in participating but have schedule conflicts with either the March 19th program date, or the March 6th session, please contact Kristin at klibritz@ithaca.edu to determine whether alternate arrangements can be made. This program is sponsored by Career Services in partnership with Ithaca Forward.

Founded in 1990, IRT seeks to “deepen the pool of talented minorities entering the teaching profession in our country.” Currently, the IRT selects outstanding college students and graduates from multiple backgrounds who demonstrate a commitment to eradicating racial disparities and the attendant educational consequences of these differences.
An information session will be held so that students can learn more about the program and the application process.

Candidates from 15 Central New York colleges and universities are invited to attend this entry-level employment event. To date over 100 districts have registered and eligible students are encouraged to apply.
Requirements for participation and the ONLINE APPLICATION process, as well as detailed instructions and information, will be accessible through the web site at http://www.oswego.edu/TRD.
APPLICATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE between February 4 and February 29, 2008 and include the $10.00 non-refundable registration fee.
APPLICATIONS completed between March 1 and March 7, 2008 must include the $15.00 non-refundable registration fee. Applications will NOT BE ACCEPTED after March 7 and individuals will not be admitted on the day of the event. Priority is given to applicants on a first-come, first-served basis.
