Come to the job & internship fair at Career Days 2008 on Tuesday, October 28th from 11am - 2pm in Emerson Suites. You may schedule an interview for the Day of Interviews on Wednesday, October 29th. You can also sign up to be "mock" interviewed on Wednesday.
On Tuesday (10/28) at 5pm, join us in the Ithaca Falls Room for an interactive workshop on successful interviewing skills.

The Peer Career Advisors, along with the staff members in the Office of Career Services invite you to attend the 6th Annual Career City Coffee Café, Friday, October 24th! The event runs from 6:00pm-9:00pm in IC Square.
Career City Coffee Café is a great opportunity for students to have fun and learn more about career development. Topics such as resumes, cover letters, graduate school selection process, and other helpful career development tips will be shared.
Join us for an evening of Entertainment, Free Food (cookies, brownies and mini muffins), Free Drinks (hot chocolate, hot cider, espresso drinks, coffee and tea) and a Pumpkin Decorating Contest! Door prizes will be given out throughout the evening (Ithaca College apparel, Wegmans gift certificates and more), along with a $100 Grand Prize at the end of the event!

The Ithaca College chapters of Sigma Iota Epsilon and the American Marketing Association and the Office of Career Services cordially invite you to attend the 12th annual Etiquette Dinner.
Students from all schools across campus are encouraged to attend this event, which focuses on teaching appropriate dining behavior in order to make a great first impression during interviews where meals are involved. The event will include keynote and etiquette speakers, a three-course meal, and door prizes!
In addition to great speakers, networking opportunities will be available for students, as employers from the day's Career Day 2008 Job and Internship Fair will be in attendance.
The event will be held in the Emerson Suites on Tuesday, October 28, with the reception beginning at 5:15 p.m. and dinner commencing at 6:00 p.m.
Dress is business professional, so dress to impress!

The Central Intelligence Agency representatives will cover a broad range of topics to include the Agency mission, potential career opportunities and the on-line application process. Students are encouraged to bring a resume.

You find rewards and fulfillment in your role, and you share in the pride that comes from serving your country. The CIA offers extraordinary opportunities for a wide range and variety of professionals.
Minimum requirements (for National Clandestine Service positions) include a bachelor's or master's degree and a strong academic record, with a strong interest in international affairs. Candidates must possess solid interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to write clearly and accurately. Foreign travel and area knowledge, prior residency abroad, cross-cultural sensitivity, and foreign language proficiency (particularly in the critical languages of Arabic, Chinese, Dari, Indonesian, Korean, Pashto/Pashtu, Persian, Russian, Turkish and Urdu) are highly desirable. Degrees of interest include, but are not limited to, international business, finance or relations, foreign languages, economics, physical science or nuclear, biological or chemical engineering. Competitive candidates will also possess personality traits that will allow them to be successful Core Collectors, including the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, the ability to “think on their feet”, and the ability to deal effectively with individuals at all levels—often in fast-breaking and rapidly changing situations.

Vail Resorts, Inc. is a premier mountain resort company and a leader in luxury, destination-based travel at iconic locations. The company operates in three separate, but highly integrated segments: Mountain, Lodging and Real Estate Development.
Representatives from Vail Resorts, Inc. will host an information session about their Seasonal Employment - College Program on Tuesday October 21 at 12:10 in Friends Room #204. During the afternoon Tuesday, they will conduct interviews with students in the Office of Career Services. Vail Resorts, Inc. is looking for college students who are interested in taking a semester away from the classroom to get experience working, living and learning at Keystone Mountain.
This program is designed to provide current college students with the opportunity to have real-life experience living, working and learning as employees at Keystone Mountain during the 2009 Ski Season (November through April). Students in the program will be assigned to any number of jobs on the Mountain. You could work as a cook in the Hospitality Department, a Ski Instructor in Mountain Operations or a Human Resources Intern with the HR Department. There are dozens of different jobs that program participants will have the opportunity to perform on the Mountain.
