Join Cornell students and local professionals at the Holiday Inn on Tuesday, September 29 at 5:30 for this annual event. You will have the opportunity to talk with Ithaca alumni and local professionals who work in a variety of fields and who can share information with you about life after college. Career Services is pleased to announce that representatives from the New England Center for Children (NECC) will visit campus to conduct an information session and interviews.
All community members are invited to learn more about the work that they do and the job opportunities that are being offered.
Interviews will be conducted on September 15, 2009 at Career Services for Level I and II Teachers and summer interns. Students interested in an interview should sign up at the information session or at the Job, Internship and Volunteer Fair.
About NECC: Located 20 miles west of Boston in Southborough, Massachusetts, the NECC is a private, nonprofit organization serving children with autism and other related disabilities.

If you want to see the world, make a difference, learn a language and acquire varied skills, then come to the Peace Corps information session on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 7:00pm in the Ithaca Falls Room (Campus Center). During this session you will learn about the Peace Corps and how it can help you to accomplish your dreams and goals.
The Peace Corps is looking for interested people of all ages and walks of life to dedicate their time and energy to helping others while learning to love new and exciting lands. Volunteers in Peace Corps work with local and regional governments, schools, youth, community members, local non-profits, and entrepreneurs to address changing and complex needs. Unlike other organizations, Peace Corps Volunteers live and work in a local community where they provide guidance and skill transfer, as well as opportunities for cultural exchange.
Jobs with the Corps include: forestry, parks and wildlife, environmental education, applied agriculture science, farm management, agribusiness, construction and skilled trades education, community service, urban youth development, water and sanitation extension, environmental and water resources engineering, public health education, urban and regional planning, business advising, business development, NGO development, primary education teacher training, TEFL, university English teaching, secondary math teaching, secondary science teaching, special education.
