Health Promotion Committee

The Health Promotion Committee is responsible for raising awareness and providing health programming with particular focus on preventing substance abuse, sexual assault, and eating disorders; and promoting exercise, balanced nutrition, responsible sexual decisions, and positive mental health. The committee works in collaboration with the Health Promotion and Substance Abuse Prevention Program.

The HPC will meet twice a semester. The following subcommittees will meet more frequently: Programming; Research and Evaluation; Social Norms Marketing; Peer Advocacy.  Short-term, topic-specific, planning meetings will be convened by the Programming Subcommittee to schedule special events for National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week (October), Eating Disorders Awareness Week (February), and Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April).
