Public Access Defibrillator Committee

The Public Access Defibrillator Committee (PAD) is responsible for supervising the automatic external defibrillators (AED) on Ithaca College campus. It plans and progressively installs AEDs in appropriate locations across campus to maximize protection of the Ithaca College community and its visitors. The committee ensures maintenance of the units and the electronic response system.   The committee also evaluates the level of campus preparedness for an unexpected coronary event and ensures that campus members are trained to react with appropriate layperson care. The members span many departments of campus including staff from Environmental Health and Safety, Hammond Health Center, Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports. The committee is open to the entire campus community.
