Audio Visual Production Technician
Audio Visual Production Technicians are responsible for ensuring that all audio visual requirements for events have been met as requested. Technicians set up, operate, and strike a variety of professional level sound, lighting, and projection equipment. Technicians are responsible for some equipment maintenance, keeping the storage areas clean and organized, and tracking inventory. Many shifts occur late at night, early in the morning, and on weekends – technicians are expected to work these shifts as needed and assist in special projects as assigned. Technicians must have prior audio-visual experience as well as possess leadership and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude toward customer service, and a high level of commitment and flexibility.
Office Assistant Manager
Office Assistant Managers are responsible for providing support to the administrative staff by assisting in various independent projects. They will assist in the training and scheduling of Office Assistants and provide clerical support. They also assist with all aspects of daily operations to include customer relations both in person and on the telephone.
Office Assistant
Office Assistants are responsible for supporting the secretarial function in the Office of Conference and Event Services. This work includes typing, word processing, filing, photocopying, and answering the telephone. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary. Office Assistants are expected to dress appropriately for a professional office environment.
Set-Up Manager
Set-Up Managers oversee all furniture/equipment set-ups in the Campus Center building for special events, conferences, and other activities. Set-up Managers assist the Assistant Director for Operations with scheduling details. They are responsible for the training, evaluation, and supervision of the set-up staff. They also facilitate the weekly meetings of the set-up staff. Set-Up Managers play a vital role in activities held in the Campus Center by insuring that all of the details of set-ups are properly addressed. They are to organize, inventory, and maintain the cleanliness of the storage areas. They are expected to assure that quality service is provided and make recommendations for improvement. As many of the set-ups are scheduled for late nights and weekends, the staff is expected to fill these shifts as needed.
Set-Up Staff
The Set-Up Staff is responsible for the furniture/equipment arrangement of rooms for special events, conferences, and other activities held in the Campus Center building. They are in charge of maintaining set-up equipment and furniture, as well as keeping the storage areas clean and organized. They also assist in special projects as assigned. As many of the set-ups are scheduled for late nights and weekends, the staff is expected to fill these shifts as needed.
Special Event Manager
Special Event Managers provide support to the Office of Conference and Event Services in making arrangements for all of the services necessary for an event or conference (including catering, set-up, parking, shuttles, housing, registration, etc.). They assist in the planning, coordination, preparation, and supervision of all of the events on campus. Special Event Managers must possess leadership and interpersonal skills, a positive customer service attitude, and a high level of commitment and flexibility. Many shifts occur late at night, early in the morning, and on weekends, Special Event Managers are expected to work these shifts as needed.
Scheduling Assistant
The R25 Scheduling Assistant is responsible for entering data into the R25 database, processing reservation requests, and verifying data by going to a location, documenting changes, and photographing rooms. The R25 Scheduling Assistant will become familiar with the R25 reservation process and report all work to the Conference and Event Services Scheduling Coordinator. Other responsibilities include ensuring college procedures and processes are followed, generating reports, and other jobs as assigned by supervisor.
Business Coordinator Assistant
The Business Coordinator Assistant is responsible for assisting the Business Coordinator in the Office of Conference and Event Services. This work includes inputting information into Excel spreadsheets, filing, calling and emailing clients to obtain information, photocopying, and other responsibilities as assigned. Business Coordinator Assistants are expected to dress appropriately for a professional office environment.
