- Under “General Requirements” you will see a list of the classes you have taken under each type of requirement for your degree. Under “Detail Requirements” you will be able to see what requirements have been met by the courses you have already taken and what courses are left for you to take to meet each degree requirement.
Can I use Homer Connect to see the courses I need to take and how the courses I have taken meet degree requirements if I decide to change my major?
Yes, the Homer Connect function is called a “Degree Evaluation – What-if Analysis.”
- Log into HomerConnect at homerconnect.ithaca.edu
- Click on Student, Financial Aid and Residential Life
- Click on Student Records & Billing Information
- Go into the link “Degree Evaluation”
- Choose the current term
- Once in, you will notice at the bottom of the webpage is a link entitled “What-If Analysis”. Click this link.
- Next it will prompt you for a semester. Select the current semester.
- Continue to answer the prompts that the computer asks.
- After submitting all of the answers you will be able to view your degree evaluation in a few different ways. If you choose “Detail Requirements” you will be able to see what requirements have been met by the courses you have already taken and what courses are left for you to take to meet each degree requirement. This process does not change your major. To apply to change your major you must fill out a “change of major” form (and perhaps other paperwork) available at the Dean’s Office for the new major. If you have questions, please see your Academic Advisor.
