Regan Rockhill, with his wife Edye, is the proud father of two daughters, Kit and Kari. Kari, the youngest, is currently a senior at IC majoring in Exercise Science with a medical science emphasis and minors in Biology and Math.
Education has always been important to Mr. Rockhill. He has an undergraduate degree from SUNY Stony Brook with a B.S. in Engineering and did graduate work in Engineering at the University of Kentucky. He received an M.B.A. from Temple University by going to school at night and is a C.P.A. and a certified fraud examiner. He received a Juris Doctor from Rutgers-Camden, also going to school at night, which is where he met his wife.
Over the course of 40 years and several careers, Mr. Rockhill has worked as an engineer on the design of a nuclear power plant and served as a partner in a national accounting firm, before venturing out on his own while his children were in school. The 12 years on his own as a litigation consultant/expert witness aligned with his daughters’ needs for a chauffeur, self-appointed cheer section, and still allowed him to come in from the office for dinner – the garage office. In his spare time, he fancies himself a gentleman farmer raising beef cattle.
Currently, Mr. Rockhill uses his years of experience, knowledge and training in a job he describes as “the translator.” He is the in-house financial and accounting expert for the law firm Williams & Connolly in Washington, D.C. Mr. Rockhill says his strength is in understanding the money side, the business side, the legal strategy, and being able to communicate each of those in terms everyone can understand. Education is the foundation from which Mr. Rockhill has built his career and life choices and he hopes his children do the same.
