A reminder to IC students and all those who care about them, that Ithaca College will be offering free H1N1 (swine) flu vaccine to all registered students at the Hammond Health Center on Monday October 26, from 9 AM until 4 PM, no appointment necessary. Students may also schedule free vaccination at other times by calling 274-3177.

The Ithaca College Health Center has received its first shipment of H1N1 (swine) influenza vaccine, and is ready to begin immunizing IC students free of charge. In contrast to our seasonal flu vaccine program, we will only be offering H1N1 vaccination to IC students, and not to faculty or IC staff.

As we work together as a campus community to prevent the spread of the H1N1 (swine) flu virus, Student Affairs and Campus Life has arranged for disposable face masks to be available for anyone who is interested.

The Health Center has recently held a number of seasonal influenza immunization clinics for faculty, staff, and students.  We have been pleased with the enthusiastic turnout for these clinics, which demonstrates a real commitment to maintaining a healthy living and learning community. In just two weeks the Health Center has given nearly as many flu shots as we administered during all of last year.
