10th Anniversary of the LGBT Center and Fall Splash, October 14 -16, 2011
It's the 10th anniversary of the IC LGBT Center! Come celebrate with us - learn about where we've been, and be a part of our future!
A great opportunity for current students to meet and network with LGBT and Allied alumni, and for alumni to learn more about the Center for LGBT Education, Outreach, & Services and its work, our award-winning status as one of the most welcoming campuses for LGBT students in the nation, and our current LGBTA-themed student organizations and other offerings and accomplishments.
Most 10th anniversary events will be held in conjunction with Fall Splash/Alumni Weekend, so that our alumni can join in on the fun.
Events include:
Thursday October 13, 7 pm
Our Tenth Annual National Coming Out Day Speaker,
Janet Green '78
"Intersex: What Is It, and Why Should You Care?"
It's an IC tradition - each year we host a featured speaker with ties to the campus or local community in commemoration of National Coming Out Day. In past years, highlighted speakers have included notable people in the fields of research, media, writing, the arts, advocacy and activism, and law and public policy. The event will take place at the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca, 306 North Aurora Street, Ithaca, NY (the corner of Aurora and Buffalo Streets in downtown Ithaca).
Thanks to our event co-sponsors, the First Unitarian Society of Ithaca, the Ithaca LGBT Task Force, and Out for Health.
