There are a number of resources for and about LGBT people and themes in our local community. Here are a few, in no particular order. Contact each directly for the most up-to-date information.

Homorukus, promotes a sex positive, genderful, antiracist, safe(r) space for LGBTQI folks to mingle. FLAME is a monthly Queer night that takes place every first Thursday of the month. Find them on Facebook.
Guerrilla QueerBar Ithaca, "Ithaca's traveling gay bar" turns an unsuspecting straight bar into a gay bar for the night. A time-old tradition in cities nationwide, turning socializing into a new form of social activism.- find them on Facebook
Out for Health, Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger Lakes LGBT Health & Wellness Project, provides outreach, education and information to LGBT people, their health care providers and the community at-large about the importance of inclusive, welcoming and respectful care for LGBT people.
PPSFL LGBT Family Building Project, for LGBT individuals and couples who are starting or building their family.

Gay Straight Alliances (GSAs) - many of our local schools, including the Ithaca High School, the Lehman Alternative school, Trumansburg High, and one of the middle schools, have active Gay-Straight Alliance clubs. COLAGE groups, for kids of LGBT parents, are sponsored by several elementary schools and by the Out for Health project.
The Advocacy Center provides supportive services to youth and adults in Tompkins County NY who have experienced intimate partner violence or sexual violence. Services include: 24 hour hotline, emotional support, help with police or courts, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program, and emergency shelter.
IGLAB Bowling League bowling league is a recreational league. We like to have fun with our bowling. Members range from experienced to novice. We bowl Sunday afternoons at Bowl-O-Drome Lanes in Ithaca, NY from September - April.

Lesbian and Gay Family Building Project, the Ferre Institute - dedicated to helping lesbian, gay,bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) people in upstate NY achieve their goals of building and sustaining healthy families by providing support, advocacy, information, and access to community and sensitive health care and service.
Pride and Joy Families, network of LGBTQ-led families that offers support, education and a sense of community to adults and children.

Sage Upstate, Syracuse, serving older gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender persons in the upstate communities of Central New York.
Rainbow SAGE of the Genesee Valley,provides social and educational programs to enhance the lives of older gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (GLBTI) people and educates the community about relevant GLBTI aging issues.
Fortunate Families, based in Rochester, serves as a resource and networking ministry with Catholic parents of LGBT daughters and sons. Fortunate Families offers a monthly newsletter and resources as well as retreats, presentations and support and affirmation for parents.
