INVOLVED Leader

The Office for New Student Programs recruits peer leaders to be group leaders for the INVOLVED program.  Do you remember your first year at IC? Did you ever have a hard time getting involved or meeting new friends? Would you like to lead first year students who are looking for a chance to meet new people and learn more about the activities on campus and in the community?

The role of the INVOLVED Leaders is to facilitate connections between small groups of new students and introduce group members to the wide range of opportunities available at Ithaca College and in the community through the INVOLVED program. Two or three INVOLVED Leaders lead each group, help to find activities both on and off campus, and serve as a resource for a group of approximately 8-10 first year students.

The role of INVOLVED Leader is a volunteer position. INVOLVED Leaders are provided a budget by the Office for New Student Programs to help fund activities for the group.  The commitment is concentrated in the fall semester.

Anyone interested in becoming an INVOLVED Leader for the 2008-2009 academic year can contact Erica Shockley.
