2009 Fall Welcome Schedule

The Fall Welcome program runs from August 23 through August 25 and is designed to help new and transfer students become acquainted with their new college environment.  Not only will you meet with your school to learn more about what to expect in the classroom, there are several activities designed to get you involved with the larger campus community.  Some of these programs include Convocation, IC Community Picnic, First-Year Reading Initiative Panel and Small Group Discussion, and many other social activities.

One of the social highlights of Fall Welcome is E Como Mai.  Meaning “Welcome,” E Como Mai is a fun tradition for all transfer and first-year students! Enjoy your first evening on campus at the barbecue dinner reacquainting yourself with orientation friends and meeting new people!  Sponsored by IC Afer Dark, there will be music, inflatable games, crafts, and free giveaways.  Also, E Como Mai will host the Orientation Rock Band Competition Finale!  If you were in the small group that won for your session, get ready to battle it out to see who is the ultimate Orientation Rock Star or come to just show off your great dance moves on the dance floor!

Make sure you pick up the Fall Welcome Brochure when you check in to your residence hall room.  You can also find the schedule on our website: (Fall Welcome Schedule).
