Orientation

Families continue to play a role of the utmost importance in their college student's development and education. Family Orientation helps family members create realistic expectations and offers a great deal of information to assist both family members and students in making the transition to Ithaca College.  Family Orientation is designed with your unique questions and concerns in mind.  Specifically, our goals are as follows:

  • To help families gain an understanding of the college mission and vision.
  • To help families make a connection with faculty and staff within their child's academic school and campus-wide.
  • To help families gain an understanding of their child's rights and responsibilities as an IC community member.
  • To receive exposure to some of the academic and social challenges their child may face.

Summer Orientation Sessions have concluded for admitted students for fall of 2009.
