Bombers Sending Two Athletes to NCAA Track and Field Championships

Junior Cory Petermann of the men's track and field team and freshman Marcia McCord of the women's track and field team will compete at this weekend's NCAA Championships. The meet will be held Thursday through Saturday at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

Petermann is seeded 12th of 19 competitors in the javelin throw with a qualifying mark of 60.22 meters (197-7). He will be making his first trip to nationals.

McCord will be competing in two events. She is seeded 9th of 19 runners in the 400-meter dash (56.68) and 14th of 26 in the 200-meter dash (24.92). McCord qualified for nationals in the 400-meter dash after the indoor season as well.
