Multicultural Programs

graduation

The Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs partners with students, faculty, and staff throughout campus to support and enhance the Ithaca College community. We provide specific services to several segments of the student population -- in particular African, Latino/a, Asian, and Native American (ALANA) students.

We work with:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Scholar Program
  • Ithaca Achievement Program (IAP)
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day efforts
  • cultural heritage month celebrations
  • our two student support networks, Brothers 4 Brothers and Sister 2 Sister.

In addition to working with current students, we strive to maintain strong connections with our alumni, which provide the basis for networking programs for our students. These relationships also enrich our mentoring program and networking events.

Our goals are to:

  • support ALANA students' personal and professional development
  • deliver programs and services that support retain and graduate ALANA students
  • create a positive environment for ALANA students
  • provide opportunities for all students to increase awareness understanding and appreciation of the ALANA populations
