Move into your Tower’s room assignment: Sunday, June 6
OL Training: June 7- June 17
The Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs employs 20 enthusiastic and resourceful students as orientation leaders to assist with summer new student and family orientation. The orientation leader staff is, ideally, representative of our diverse undergraduate population. When selecting candidates, we look for a balance of academic year, areas of study, and cultural diversity. Duties, expectations, and employment conditions of leaders are listed below.
Orientation Leaders (OLs) will provide the Class of 2014 and their families with a high-quality experience and first introduction to the Ithaca Experience. This introduction highlights IC’s spirit, mission, curriculum, and co-curriculum. OLs also introduce and model IC’s community rights and responsibilities. In order to facilitate this experience, OLs work collaboratively with the orientation staff to lead and facilitate the student and family orientation programs. As such, OLs represent the best of Ithaca College in order to demonstrate what membership in our community is all about.
