Opportunities for service projects under the Protestant Community include areas both on and off campus, such as collecting contributions for Heifer International, participating in Relay for Life benefiting the American Cancer Society, Trick or Treating for Canned Goods at Halloween, holding a 30-hour famine to raise money for World Vision and walking together in the Crop Walk. Recently we have participated as volunteers in work trips to the south to help a human service organization provide assistance to at-risk adolescents, to restore homes for the Appalachian Service Project and to build homes for Habitat for Humanity.

On Going Service Opportunities:
The Protestant Community has sponsored a child from Nicaragua. His name is Marvin. We need to raise about $30 a month to support him. Donations are accepted every Wednesday night at Evensong, and can be dropped off in the Chapel office at any time. We thank you so much for your support, and we know Marvin appreciates it too!

Upcoming Service Opportunities:
Service is working on planning a Spring Break Service Trip to Tennessee! There will be a sheet at Evensong for anyone who is interested and wants more information. This is PURELY interest, you aren't signing your life (i.e. spring break) away by getting more information.
