**There will be an Memorial Service for Andrea Morton, an IC student who passed away at the end of last semester, on October 19th at the Chapel... more details soon.**

There are two opportunities for worship weekly on campus with the Protestant Community.

  • Sunday evenings at 7:00 p.m. -- "Vespers", a blend of old and new liturgies.
  • If you are interested in being a part of the Choir for Sunday Evening Worship contact Beth (bfaulst1@ithaca.edu)
  • Wednesday evenings from 9:30 - 11:30 p.m.  -- "Evensong" -- students gather in the chapel sanctuary for a praise service of joy and celebration to God, Christ and Spirit. Beginning with glorious praise music led by our 6 - 8 person band, our worship is blended with singing, moments of prayer, Bible Readings, and one individual's testimony before we break into small prayer groups for reflection, encouragement, and support as a community. We close together in final prayer and song.

Sunday Morning Worship

Here at the Protestant Community, we invite and encourage you to find a church home of your own choosing. With our help, you can discover a place you can call your church family while you are here at IC. Under the Documents tab on the left, you will find a list of local churches, some affiliated with mainline Protestant traditions and others adopting more contemporary Christian liturgies. Many of our students and Board Members attend these local congregations and would be glad to help you connect with the church of your choice. Please contact Natalie Eckroth at: neckrot1@ithaca.edu, or Meredith Ellis at mellis@ithaca.edu to help you get connected for rides to and from church.
