Leave of Absence and Withdrawal Processes

Exit interviews are conducted by a member of the vice president's staff with all students who choose to study for a semester at another location or who plan to leave Ithaca College temporarily or permanently. These interviews are done to ensure that students are making appropriate life decisions and to assist them in the transition. During the meeting, the student and staff member discuss the student's intentions and plans. Students are counseled on appropriate alternatives and strategies to follow to best utilize their time away from the College. This meeting also gives students the opportunity to have their questions answered about the leave of absence or withdrawal process.
