Ithaca College will be holding many events as we get closer to the 2008 Presidential Election. Visit this site often for the most up to date information.

Election Week Events

Tuesday October 28th
7:00pm in the Clark Lounge

Perialis Prize winner reception. Hear the winning speeches on behalf of their candidate for president by Joe Gage for Barack Obama and Shanan Glandz for John McCain.

Friday October 31st
4:30pm in the Klingenstein Lounge

Dr. Steven Seidman, associate professor and chair of the Department of Strategic Communications, will speak on “Posters, Propaganda, and Persuasion in Election Campaigns”.

Tuesday November 4th, ELECTION DAY

Parade to the Polls
12:15pm - Free Speech Rock

The Fifes and Drums of Ithaca and President Tom Rochon will lead voters from Free Speech Rock through the academic quad to get voters excited about going to the polls. The parade will continue all the way to the College Circles Community Room, which is the local polling place for those who registered to vote using their campus address.

Voter Vans
9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Vans take students to and from the local polling station in the Circles Community Room. Van pick up locations will be the Textor Flag Pole and the Smiddy Hall parking lot entrance.

Election Results Viewing Party
9:00 pm until ? - Textor 102
