The Summer Reading Initiative

The College's First-Year Reading Initiative (FYRI) is designed to introduce new and transfer students to the Ithaca College community of learners.  This summer, first-year students, faculty and staff read "Ransom" by David Malouf and started discussing the book via on-line communities.  All first-year students attend the FYRI kickoff program as part of the Fall Welcome schedule.  On Tuesday, August 30 at 10am the discussions begin with a general introduction to the book followed by students meeting with their faculty or staff group leaders for small group discussions.  You can find more information about the book here.

Fall Splash - October 14-16, 2011

Fall Splash is Ithaca College's alumni weekend, and this year includes a truly momentous event:  the formal dedication of the College's state-of-the-art Athletics and Events Center.  During Spirit Week (October 8-15), the days leading up to Fall Splash, we'll have a pep rally, banner contest, ice cream social, and much more!
