What is SGA?
The Student Government Association represents the official voice of the student body of Ithaca College. Unlike other clubs and organizations, SGA is actually part of the governance structure of Ithaca College. SGA is dedicated to making sure the concerns and feedback of students are heard on campus, within the local community, and throughout the world at large.
How does Student Government serve students?
- SGA allocates funding to over 150 student organizations on campus.
- SGA is the official link between students and the administration, so it makes sure students are informed about administrative decisions while advocating for students' campus concerns.
- SGA holds weekly open meetings where any student can come and have their voice heard and taken into consideration.
- SGA works hard to improve campus life by proposing legislative change and providing a wealth of resources for IC students.
- SGA works to ensure that at least one student is on every campus-wide committee so that the voice of the students is always heard.
