SIE Zeta Iota awarded Chapter of the Year
Congratulations! ΣΙΕ named Chapter of the Year for 2006-07.

Welcome to the Zeta Iota Chapter of Sigma Iota Epsilon at Ithaca College. Chartered on April 13, 1999 as the 65th active local chapter in ΣΙΕ's 70+-year history, our award-winning chapter strives to stimulate interest and achievement in the field of management through:

  • encouragement and recognition of academic excellence,
  • programs to enhance members' professional development, and
  • service to the community.

The Greek letters in our name stand for Sproude, Idreia, and Exoche- earnestness, knowledge, and excellence. Our symbol, the Sigma Iota Epsilon key, reminds us of the wisdom and practicality signified by the concepts of creative development, organization, cooperation, and service.

Graduate & Professional School Fair

Mark your calendars for the 10th annual Graduate and Professional School Fair taking place on Tuesday, September 23rd from 5:30-7:30p in Emerson Suites. This year there are over 125 graduate and professional schools for you to meet and speak with. New this year is a welcome reception taking place from 4-5:30p in Klingenstein where you can meet with admissions representatives, staff, and faculty and enjoy some complimentary food. There will also be a three panel discussion following the fair for anyone who has specific questions regarding medical schools, law schools, or general graduate schools. Opening Meeting

Our first meeting for the 2008-09 school year will be Friday, September 19th from 4:30-6:00p in Textor 103. This is a mandatory meeting for all current members. If you are unable to attend, please conact ΣΙΕ immediately via email at sie@ithaca.edu. Free pizza will be served, you will meet with your committees, and we will discuss further events for the semester. We hope you can attend and look forward to seeing you.
10th Anniversary Kick-off Party

Thank you to all who attended our very successful Kick-off Party! The executive board was very excited to meet the prospective members and to hear their excitement about being a part of ΣΙΕ. Everyone who came enjoyed desserts from Wegmans bakery and Purity Ice Cream, mingled with other prospective members, and had an enjoyable evening. Keep your ears and eyes open for more great events as the year continues!
Etiquette Dinner - Mark your Calendars

ΣΙΕ will once again be partnering with the American Marketing Association to bring you the Etiquette Dinner. Those who attend will listen to a guest lecture on etiquette and management, a delicious, catered meal, and a lovely evening with friends. Please save the date for Tuesday, October 28th and check back here for more information as it becomes available.
