-Sport Management & Media majors contribute to national study of coaches just released in time for March Madness by the National Institute for Sport Reform.

-- On March 11-13, a one credit mini-course on International Marketing will be hosted at the Ithaca College Center in Washington, D.C. (2807 Connecticut Avenue, NW one block south of the National Zoo). The mini-course will be taught by Kamini Sharma, Director, International Marketing, NHL Enterprises, L.P and is open to graduates.

-- April 1- April 16 "What'll you bid?" The department is hosting a Silent Auction this spring in conjunction with the Sport Management Activities Club. Bidding will begin on or around April 1. If you're interested in donating something that will generate buzz and revenue, don't hesitate to contact :Jared Weinberg, student chair of the auction, at jweinbe1@ithaca.edu or Dr. Staurowsky, faculty chair, at staurows@ithaca.edu . Details will be forthcoming soon.

-- April 24th. The first annual Sport Management & Media Golf Tournament will take place on Saturday, April 24th at The Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at Cornell University. If you have any questions about the tournament, please email t Icgolf@email.com . The Web site for the tournament is www.icgolf.co.tv This event is for students, graduates, parents, friends of the programs, faculty and sport industry professionals. Graduates are encouraged to invite other professional colleagues to attend the outing with them.

-- On August 7, there will be a Sport Management & Media summer social event at the Lakewood (NJ) Blueclaws minor league baseball game. Come catch up with friends and watch some impressive minor league ball down the Jersey Shore. Additional information about the event and an on-line registration will be available by checking the Alumni Office webpage and then going to the link for alumni events.

-- The 2004 Careers in Sport Symposium is scheduled for October 29-30 at Ithaca College. This program showcases graduates from our program who are successful in the sport industry. Designed as a networking and educational program for undergraduate sport management and media majors, graduates engage in panel discussions moderated by Ithaca College seniors. Efforts will be made to also offer career development programs for alumni. If you are interested in participating as a panelist, please contact Dr. Staurowsky at staurows@ithaca.edu, Geoff Brown at gbrown@lakewoodblueclaws.com or Jim Daunais at daunais23@hotmail.com .

-- Also in October 2004, with the exact dates to be determined, a mini-course on "How to Sell Sports" will be instructed by Jason Gonella, Vice President of Corporate Sales and Premium Services with the Philadelphia Eagles with Dr. Blann. This is open to graduates. More details to come.
