The Sustainable Tompkins Master Class series offers our members the opportunity to further explore a wide range of sustainable development topics with local, regional and national experts. We sure kicked off this educational series with a bang in the fall of 2004, bringing a nationally renowned sustainability heavy-hitter to the table! On Thursday, September 16, 2004, Betsy Taylor, Executive Director of the Center for the New American Dream, met with Sustainable Tompkins to discuss "Community Collaborations." Check out the work of the Center for the New American Dream. Betsy expressed interest in continuing a collaborative relationship with Sustainable Tompkins. Christian Nielsen-Palacios from The Thomas Group made arrangements for Sustainable Tompkins to use a conference room at the Thomas firm. An associate snapped these photos of the group hard at work picking Ms. Taylor's brain about how to foster regional sustainable development in Tompkins County.
