Campus and Community
Sustainability is woven into our curriculum and research, and our everyday life on campus. It’s the IC way. In fact, we’re resolved to reach 100 percent carbon neutrality by 2050.
— The Princeton Review named Ithaca College to its list of 322 "green colleges" in 2013
— IC offers more than 170 courses with sustainability themes or content across 30+ academic departments and programs
— The Park Center for Business and Sustainable Enterprise and the Peggy Ryan Williams Center buildings are certified LEED Platinum
— The Athletics & Events Center is certified LEED Gold
— IC encourages transportation alternatives through public transit, carshare, rideshare, and vanpool
Our faculty and staff engage, collaborate and learn from one another — an aspect of our unique culture that keeps IC the innovative institution it’s become, and a vital part of the overall campus community.
Our campus is a home to students, faculty, and staff of different cultures, backgrounds, and schools of thought. It is our vision to build a campus that will connect all members of our community and provide better integration and collaboration opportunities amongst our schools. By fall of 2014, we will develop a comprehensive ten-year campus master plan that will allow us to construct a physical environment campus that supports intellectual enrichment.
