Stress: Its Nature and Management OnLine Course Assignment
Purpose:Time management is both a professional and personal concern. Many people experience tremendous stress due to time pressures --- too much to do and not enough time to do it! Effective time management begins with understanding your values -- what is important to you -- and then managing time in accordance to these values. Assignment: Construct a 4-page newsletter to be distributed to professionals or college students. Include in your newsletter information about various facets of time management. Some topics include perfectionism, procrastination, motivation, values, decision-making, self-defeating behaviors, organizational skills, learning to say "NO", and cognitive appraisal. Other topics may be appropriate as well. You may find it helpful to read some of these articles on Time Management, but feel free to explore other relevant topics. Chapters 9, 14, and 15 in your textbook may also be helpful in completing this assignment. In constructing your newsletter, be sure to include a title, a minimum of 4 articles, each on a different topic, columns, at least 4 graphics relating to the topics presented, and a listing of the sources used in constructing your newsletter. You may find it helpful to review the information on newsletter/desktop publishing. You can also download a template for your newsletter from the Microsoft office update site -- you would then simply need to replace their text with your own text. Submission: Submit your newsletter using the CourseInfo Student Drop Box.
