IC Unbound is a student organization that was formed to foster a non-competitive atmosphere for dancers to come together to dance and choreograph pieces that are performed at the end of each semester. This organization has given me the ability to continue dancing and performing as well as hone my skills as a choreographer. The group holds auditions at the beginning of each semester, where each choreographer teaches a small section of their piece to the room and then chooses which dancers to put in the piece after they have learned the audition routine. After the choreographers have made their decisions, the group of dancers meet throughout the semester to learn the number and then perform it at the end of the semester in a weekend long run. While taking dance classes has made me into a much stronger dancer, IC Unbound has let me use the new skills I have learned in class and has given me the opportunity to continue my love of performing.
