UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Delegations

In 2005, Ithaca College applied for and was granted permanent observer status as a non-governmental organization, able to attend and participate in the annual Conference of the Parties (COP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

2005 - COP 11 - Montreal, Canada

2006 - COP 12 - Nairobi, Kenya
Due to State department concerns about visitor safety, we sent only a two-person delegation to the conference to report back. Garry Thomas, professor of anthropology, and Sean Vormwald '01, alumni affairs, attended.
