Green Thumbs-Up
In Fall 2007, the Sustainability Initiative began a new program to recognize some of our ‘unsung heroes” on campus or in our community: folks who have made more sustainable decisions that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Called “Green Thumbs-Up,” these notices are first posted in the Kudos section of the Intercom internal message board system. Because of limitations of the Intercom system to accept photos, we are creating expanded PDF versions of each “Green Thumbs-Up” story. We have created this archive section of the Sustainability at Ithaca website to showcase these great sustainability success stories.
"Green" Thumbs-Up recognition is periodically given by the Sustainability Initiative at Ithaca to members of our campus community and those in the local area who:
(b) relate a "success story" that serves to inspire others; or who
(c) offer examples that demonstrate "a better way forward" for others in our community to replicate or even surpass!
