Visit the Hill and Cerache Centers
Ithaca's 26 intercollegiate teams enjoy a wide selection of first-rate practice and competition venues on campus. Outdoors you'll find the 5,000-seat Butterfield Stadium (complete with press box), a 400-meter track, 10 tennis courts, 9 playing fields, a pool, and a baseball diamond that has been recognized as the college baseball diamond of the year by Major League Baseball personnel. Our facilities accommodate lacrosse, soccer, field hockey, and women's softball, to name just a few.
Student trainers get hands-on experience on the playing field.
Ithaca's Hill Center houses an indoor pool for the swimming and diving teams and the Ben Light Gymnasium, where IC's intercollegiate basketball, gymnastics, wrestling, and volleyball squads compete. Students can also participate in dozens of recreational sports clubs, or enroll in a course in the physical activity, leisure, and safety (PALS) program to learn and play a number of sports.

Nearby Ceracche Center houses coaches' offices and athletic administration spaces, as well as a coed weight room. Cerrache is also home to IC's art department. Recently renovated facilities include studios for photo silkscreen, lithography, and intaglio printmaking; drawing and painting; sculpture (including wood, sheet metal, and dimensional steel fabrication); bookbinding; and computer arts.
